Good bye everyone!

Hello everyone! This is the last blog that I’ll write here!
Before this, I never wrote in a blog, and this was very interesting, because we had to write about ourselves, and I never do that! And in English, the first times I was very confused, because I was learning to speak and to write in Mapudungun to, so I had a mixture of languages in my head. But now, is easier and I enjoy it so much.
My favorite post is when I wrote about a series that I saw in my childhood (Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends), because makes me remember many things that I did when I was a child! Like when I with my brother played to imagined many imaginary friends with all forms and colors, and then, in the night, had many nightmares with the things that we were imagine.
Also, doing post in a blog in English helps me so much to think in English and remember many things that I see in the school. I didn’t have English class during the last year, and I really forgot a lot of things. In the school, every year since 2013, two native persons from an English speaker’s country come to the school to learn Spanish and teach us English. I always tried to speak so much with them and learn things about their countries. I remember that they have blogs too, but like a hobby, they do post in the blogs every day.

That’s all, I hope you have a good year!

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

Hello everyone! Today I am going to talk about a series that I saw in my childhood.
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends was an animated series broadcasted between 2004 and 2009. I start to saw when I was 5 years.
The series is set in a universe in which childhood imaginary friends coexist with humans. In the show’s universe when the childhood start grown up and leave their imaginary friend, they go to an orphanage where another kids will adopt them. In the series, a boy named Mac have to leave his imaginary friend, Bloo. But, Mac doesn’t want to leave his friend so he made an agreement with Madame Foster, the titular of the Mansion and try to protect him.
The show focuses on the adventures experienced by the mischievous Bloo, Mac, and the variety of eccentric, colorful characters live Foster's, and the obstacles with which they are confronted.
I saw the series with my brother in Carton Network almost every day after the school at my grandma’s house. I love the series because it makes me imagine many possibilities about drawings. In my childhood, I loved to draw and the series inspired me so much. Coco was my favorite character because I really love (until today) hens.
That’s all! Bye!

Santiago

I don’t like Santiago now, I live here all my life but now, there are so much people here and the smell of Santiago changes over the years. All my family come from Trif trif ko (close to Temuco) and I go frequently there. I think that Santiago smells of ass. Always, when I arrive to Santiago feel that smell and makes me feel nauseas. I live in the periphery of Santiago (west side) and all places are far away from me and is dangerous and ugly. The center of Santiago is less ugly but smell worst, it is like a mixture between ass and urine and is more dangerous. Close to my house they never steal from me, but in the center yes, and the people through the years have become more aggressive.  I can’t be in peace here.
The things that I like to Santiago are that have signal, maybe. And I like Ñuñoa because have houses to the age of 50 with the Streamline style.
I don’t know if I would change some about this city. I think that is necessary a biggest change. Like the country be less centralized, almost half of the residents in Chile live in Santiago because of the centralization. And maybe more security and that the money doesn’t have only the east side.
If someone visit Santiago must to be careful with their things because here steals so much. The east side of Santiago is more beautiful and have more parks (beautiful parks) It should to go to those parks.
Sorry if this is so negative :( but I really don’t like this city :( I want to live in the South of Chile not here :(
Bye!

My presentation

In my presentation I will talk you about Chilean design between 1968-1971.
First I will explain you the global context and the local context.
In the global context I will talk you about the Styling, an economic model, the postmodernism, a cultural movement that born like an answer to Bauhaus and the creation of the Ulm university. And then in the Chilean context I will talk to you about the CORFO creation in the government of Pedro Aguirre Cerda, the government of Salvador Allende, who invested a lot of money for the Chilean industry, and how the Chilean design changed with the military coup in 1973.
And then I will talk to you about the characteristic of Chilean design, how the characteristics were thought for the popular public and the biggest influencer was Gui Bonsiepe.

Gui Bonsiepe is a German, was born in 1934 and is an industrial designer, theorist and teacher of design. He studied in Ulm University and then was a teacher there. He produced a big impact in Latin America and he came to Chile in 1968 and was hired by the OIT for work like asesor in SERCOTEC.
I think I’m going to talk about less things because this is so much for 3-4 minutes.
That's all, bye!

A site

I use social networks every day. I’m very curious and I like to search everything in Google. I have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and I love to see videos on YouTube, particularly I like to see Ter channel. She is a millennial architect from Spain and makes videos about everything. She´s specially interesting about pop culture like Rihanna, Ariana Grande, the social networks, the Internet in general, the Kardashians and I love her because she can relate that with her career and also with other things like science, history, Greek mythology and my own career. Her channel helps me to remember things about my career because architecture is related with design. I discover her channel with a video in the Playground account on Facebook where she said that she is a princess architect and I wanted to see that. One of her first videos was very controversial because she said that the Kardashians was more important than Gabriel Garcia Marquez and in Colombia everybody hated her. When I was in the school I saw her videos over and over again but I didn’t believe that I would finish studying something related to architecture.
But well, here I am.
Bye!

My Career

When I finished the school I thought to study design because a teacher told me “study something related with the things you do in your free time”. In my free times I usually created collages, I drew and cover pages for my notebooks.
When I started in the university I was so scared because I didn’t know with clarity what the career was about. But now I like so much my career because it’s literally the things that I did in my free times when I was in the school.
Also I think that the design thinking will help me for anything because the way that you think changes totally and you have to be open minded. Also the designer has to think about the environment and the sustainable design and that helps so much to the society and the world.
My favourite subject is Processes and Prototypes because I love the way that the teacher teaches and I love to do manual things.  In the subject we do bindings and we learned editorial design and we learn to use InDesign for do publications.
That’s all, see you next week!

A place I have enjoyed

Hi everyone! Today I'd tell you about a place I have enjoyed.
The last September in the National Holiday I went, with my boyfriend, to Liquiñe and we really love it. It’s a place near of Villarica in the South of Chile. The place has a lot of native forests. The weather was so rainy but we went for a walk in the hill anyway.
The house where we stayed didn't have any signal (Tv, Wi-Fi, call signal). So we were able to disconnect of our phones and Santiago. Behind the House were the hill and in the hill were a river with a waterfall.
In the trees were a lot of diweñes and we harvested there. Then we cooked them with cheese in empanadas.
In Liquiñe there are a lot of natural hot springs and we took a bath there in the middle of the rain. No, we didn’t catch a cold jaja.
And the people was so nice with us.
Thanks for read! Bye!
